JB’s Log 16 & 17/03


Speed bench press w/chain 75kg + 40kg of chain 6×3 w/2 mins rest
Deadlift 185kg 5 sets of 3 reps
Paused squat 160kg 5 sets of 5 reps


Speed squat 155kg 6 sets of 3 reps
Bench press 130kg 5 sets of 3 reps
2″ deficit deadlift 160kg 5 sets of 5 reps

I woke up this morning feeling like my lats, quads and hammies had been beaten with a hammer. The return back to heavy training has battered me already! I thought it was going to be a struggle to get through today’s session but it was actually remarkably comfortable.

Only real grind was the last rep on the last set on my bench as I struggled to keep my shoulders tight. Other than that, smooth sailing!
